Mosaic Photo is proud to provide full service wedding photography in Wichita, Kansas. But Laura’s sister, who happened to be a friend of mine in high school, got married in Winnipeg at the beginning of January. So, we had the privilege of driving up to Canada in the dead of winter to take wedding photos. Really, we had a great time. Even though it was so cold that our tire lost pressure and came off the rim.

The wedding was beautiful. It was held at a golf course southwest of Winnipeg. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day. Since it’s not every day we shoot outside of Kansas, there are quite a few.

See all of these and still want to see more? Here are the rest of Dave and Lisa’s wedding photos.

I can’t say enough how blessed we are with amazing clients. While there are too many great photos of couples to count (well, too many for my attention span), here are some of my favorites from the year. It was really hard to pick.

Here are some of my favorite cake shots of from this year.

We tried our Photo Booth again

We previously told about how we did a photo booth at a wedding. It’s not really a booth. But we have a white background, lights, and props set up for guests to come have their picture taken by us at the reception. So far, it has been well received by the guests and the couple getting married. It adds a fun, interactive dimension to a wedding reception.

Here are some selects from the photo booth from Erin and Mike’s wedding.

And now for something we hope you really like…

This project started as a way to bring some fun to reception photos of the guests. We never did like going around to the different tables while everyone was eating, forcing them to pose for us, and get a subpar photo. So, an interesting and entertaining solution was to set up a photo booth.

It’s not really a booth, per se. It’s really an area we corner, set up a background and lights, and have props set out for people to use. People come if they wish. Some choose to have a nice photo taken of them and their family, all dressed up for the special occasion.  Many go ahead and try on the various wigs, hats, and props that we bring. Kids (of all ages…2 through 72) really got into it. Whether participating or watching, the photo booth by Mosaic Photo brings a lot of excitement to a reception and provides some great memories.

Another big plus, is that if we do formal portraits after the ceremony and before the reception, we have a dedicated person start the photo booth. This gives the guests something to do as we shoot pictures of the families and bridal party.

My good friend Andi let us try this out on her at her wedding in early August. Here are some fun shots, or check out the entire set.
