Mosaic Photo had the true privilege of shooting Erin and Mike’s wedding. A while back, C.J. and I had shot their engagement photos. Their wedding was a great reflection of their personalities. A small, intimate ceremony with family. Then, we got to spend a lot of time with just the bride and groom taking portraits of them. After that, their reception was a fun party, with games and our photo booth.

It really feels like we made great friends with this amazing couple. Congrats, Mike and Erin.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day. We tried to balance their personality and taste, balancing a retro look with some bright and vivid, modern shots.

Here are the rest of their wedding photos.

Here are some of my favorite photos of some of the brides and grooms we had this year with the people they are closest to. Looking through these photos, there is a wide variety of styles.

Jessi and Josh’s wedding was very relaxed, and go with the flow. Definitely fitting. I had shot their engagement photos a while back. They’re a very fun couple, and some of the most hilarious folk you’ll ever meet.

It’s always nice when the bride and groom get quite a bit of time for just the pictures of the two of them together. Since Jessi and Josh saw each other before hand, I dragged them down by the river for some portraits of the two of them.

It was a beautiful autumn day, especially back in the trees. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Take a look at the rest of their wedding pictures here.

We also did the Photo Booth at their wedding.

My friends got married…to each other!

One of my best friends that I met in college got married to a really great guy. These two are great people, and I am so very happy for them. And, I was honored to shoot their wedding photos!

Also, I rented a 300 2.8L lens from Matt. Amazingly sharp, and while it is very large, I was able to handhold it. And Matt’s a good guy who has great service and great products.

And now for something we hope you really like…

This project started as a way to bring some fun to reception photos of the guests. We never did like going around to the different tables while everyone was eating, forcing them to pose for us, and get a subpar photo. So, an interesting and entertaining solution was to set up a photo booth.

It’s not really a booth, per se. It’s really an area we corner, set up a background and lights, and have props set out for people to use. People come if they wish. Some choose to have a nice photo taken of them and their family, all dressed up for the special occasion.  Many go ahead and try on the various wigs, hats, and props that we bring. Kids (of all ages…2 through 72) really got into it. Whether participating or watching, the photo booth by Mosaic Photo brings a lot of excitement to a reception and provides some great memories.

Another big plus, is that if we do formal portraits after the ceremony and before the reception, we have a dedicated person start the photo booth. This gives the guests something to do as we shoot pictures of the families and bridal party.

My good friend Andi let us try this out on her at her wedding in early August. Here are some fun shots, or check out the entire set.

More wedding photography from Jordan and Emily’s wedding

I wrote a while back about Emily and Jordan’s wedding pictures. Here are some more photos from that day.

We had the pleasure of shooting Kylie and Matt’s wedding photos in July. It was a fun, action packed day for CJ, Laura, and me.  The wedding was at Homewood Suites, at the Waterfront in east Wichita. It was an amazing venue (with wonderful staff), and the rest of the decorations, ceremony, and reception matched.  All three of us are truly grateful that we got to be apart of it.

Between the three of us, we got some really nice stuff. Hopefully the photos live up to the wedding.  Since there are so many photos worth sharing, I’ll just share some of the group shots of the bridal party we took for now, with the intention of sharing more in the near future.

More tk…

First, we’re back! We’re in full swing of editing now. A lot of blog posts are imminent but not too much time for writing.  So for your viewing pleasure, take a look at this rotating gallery that we update every so often of some of our favorite wedding photos we’ve done.

A collection of wedding details

Weddings have a lot of details. Pieces that come together and make up the day. Here are a few of the details from Jordan and Emily’s wedding.

This was a fun wedding. More to come from it. In the mean time, you could check out all of their wedding photos if you’d like.

Wedding Album Design for Josh and Terra
We designed this wedding album for Josh and Terra’s wedding. I’m really excited with how it came out. It’s a hardback album with flush mounted pages.
