Share only your favorite photos with your busy/attention-span-defficient friends and family

When we shoot wedding photos, we generally deliver at least 400 images. That’s a lot to go through. Some people can pour through them for hours, enjoying them all.

Others (me included) can have somewhat lesser of an attention span. Over in our sharing gallery, you can select your favorites by hovering your mouse over the image on the photo page. Then select ADD TO FAVORITES. Once you’ve selected at least one, there is a “MY FAVORITES (#)” link in the top left corner. Click that link to see, rearrange, and organize your the pictures you’ve selected as favorites. You could even order prints or downloads through this screen.

You can share them with us (the wedding photographers – we love to see your favorites, and can use this information when building your book), or friends with the “Share” button in the top right of the favorite screen. Grab the link and share it with others on Facebook, email, or whatever.

These Favorites are saved for 30 days. If you want a more permanent solution, check out the post on Collections.

I didn’t always want to be a wedding photographer. When I was a kid, I went to them almost begrudgingly. Weddings were something to get through, hoping to get a good piece of cake at the end.

A couple of years ago, C.J. had a friend insist he shoot his wedding. Knowing I had shot for a few years, C.J. convinced me that I should help him out. Throughout that wedding day, we had numerous people asking how long we had done wedding photography. Apparently we gave off a vibe that we knew what we were doing.

From there, we kept getting referrals from people, and requests for how much we charge. So, we started Mosaic Photo.

We’ve learned a lot since then. And I actually really like taking pictures at weddings. It’s great be a part of a day that mean so much to so many people. I love the quick pace, meeting people, and creating beautiful photographs that a bride and groom enjoy for their lives together.

Mosaic Photo is proud to provide full service wedding photography in Wichita, Kansas. But Laura’s sister, who happened to be a friend of mine in high school, got married in Winnipeg at the beginning of January. So, we had the privilege of driving up to Canada in the dead of winter to take wedding photos. Really, we had a great time. Even though it was so cold that our tire lost pressure and came off the rim.

The wedding was beautiful. It was held at a golf course southwest of Winnipeg. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day. Since it’s not every day we shoot outside of Kansas, there are quite a few.

See all of these and still want to see more? Here are the rest of Dave and Lisa’s wedding photos.

Mosaic Photo had the true privilege of shooting Erin and Mike’s wedding. A while back, C.J. and I had shot their engagement photos. Their wedding was a great reflection of their personalities. A small, intimate ceremony with family. Then, we got to spend a lot of time with just the bride and groom taking portraits of them. After that, their reception was a fun party, with games and our photo booth.

It really feels like we made great friends with this amazing couple. Congrats, Mike and Erin.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day. We tried to balance their personality and taste, balancing a retro look with some bright and vivid, modern shots.

Here are the rest of their wedding photos.

I can’t say enough how blessed we are with amazing clients. While there are too many great photos of couples to count (well, too many for my attention span), here are some of my favorites from the year. It was really hard to pick.

We had a lot of great grooms this year. Here are some of my favorite groom portraits from weddings we did in 2009.
